Animal Lovers: Help Homeless Pets on Maui

Posted on October 15, 2013

Animal lovers are sure to think this is “purr”-ty awesome.

Do you miss your pet while traveling? No need to pine away for animal interaction on your next vacation to Maui. The Maui Humane Society has introduced “Helping Paws,” a new volunteer program for pet-deprived visitors who want to interact with and help homeless animals.

The Helping Paws Visitor Program takes place at the Maui Humane Center shelter in Central Maui every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon involving pre-planned activities such as walking dogs, bathing puppies, brushing cats, or playing with puppies and kittens—an important part of their socialization.

For more information or to get involved, email volunteer@MauiHumaneSociety.org, call 808-877-3680 ext. 14, or visit www.MauiHumaneSociety.org.

Fluffy or Fido will say “mahalo” to you!
