Molokai: The Friendly Isle

One of the most historical moments in Hawaiian history was in 1865 when the island’s Kalaupapa peninsula was cleared to colonize those suffering from leprosy. A time when disease brought division, confusion, and much heartache to the people of Hawaii – Father Damien volunteered his time serving the people on Kalaupapa.
