Chef Mark Tafoya’s “Quick Bite” at Kilauea Volcano

Posted on June 2, 2009

Chef Mark Tafoya has brought another amazing piece of Hawaii to with his “Quick Bite” video as the bloggers visited the infamous Kilauea Volcano. Kilauea is considered to be one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and has been continuously erupting, or spitting out lava or gas, since 1983. The name “Kilauea” means “much spreading” or “spewing,” due to the lava that always seems to flow from it. It is one of the five “shield volcanoes” that makes up the Big Island itself, and is just an amazing piece of earth to stand on!
